This week I have spent some time going over the details of the project. In doing so, I have been able to narrow it down to three pictures; my parents and I have different opinions on which one we would like to be sketched and so that conflict will be resolved soon. Other than that, the overall execution of the project has been going smoothly--I have set up specific requirements I want to reach over the course of the next eleven weeks. The Next 11 Weeks...During the first week, I will practice sketching different things, such as eyes, hair, and skin tones. This will be relevant to my project as it will provide me with the skills to be specific with my sketching. Then for the rest of the ten weeks, I will spend my time focusing on a square at a time on the grid. My (current) plan is to split the board into ten squares, so it will give me the perfect amount of work to delegate throughout the weeks. If I need to go back and work on a specific sketching skill, than I will do so when the need comes up during these ten weeks. Picking the perfect picture...The picture I mentioned of my family, will have only my parents and I, as it will only be of immediate family members. The picture will show a special moment of our lives and will be large so it can be framed on a wall. This picture will gain more meaning once it will be sketched, and it will be put on the wall--making the Genius Hour project an important one to our family.
